The CDCR and other facilities are currently not allowing volunteers into the prisons due to COVID-19. We will be conducting our sessions virtually until further notice (there may be a handful of in-person classes in Fall 2022--we will provide an update at Orientation).

There will be a mandatory Orientation that will take place online on Sunday, January 22nd, 2023 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. Pacific Time USA (click here to be notified). Attending this session will be a requirement to volunteer. Plans are subject to change due to ongoing uncertainty with COVID-19. The Spring class session will run from February 21-April 10, 2023.

COVID-19 UPDATE

There will be a mandatory Orientation that will take place online on Sunday, August 27th, 2023 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. Pacific Time USA (click here to be notified) for the Fall 2023 Semester. Attending this session will be a requirement to volunteer. Plans are subject to change due to ongoing uncertainty with COVID-19. The fall semester will run from September 25-November 12, 2023.
The Spring session will run from Tuesday, February 20, 2024 through April 8, 2024.

Please Note:

1) If you are a PEP Veteran and are changing facilities, you must fill out an application for the new facility. Your clearance is valid for 12 months.

2) If you are a PEP Veteran and you are staying at the same facility, please fill out an application again if you have not filled one out in the past 12 months.

NOTE: Please fill out the form for your selected facility to the best of your ability. For some facilities, you may not be able to complete all sections, or may have questions about exactly which areas to complete.
